Hi, I'm Ben
I built MTLX.ai as a place to experiment with MaterialX, make things, and share the results.
Why I built this

I'm Ben Houston, a 3D graphics developer and longtime contributor to Three.js. I've spent years working on tools for creating and sharing 3D content. MaterialX is a useful way to describe materials across tools, but I wanted an easier way to open a file, see it, try a change, and send someone a link.
MTLX.ai is that experiment: a browser editor and viewer, a public library for materials, and a home for the open-source Mtlx toolkit. The tools are free to try. An account is only needed to save materials to the site; public sharing is free, while private storage is paid.
One project, many ways in
You can edit or view a file in the browser, browse public materials, work locally with the CLI and VS Code extension, or use the SDK in your own code. I hope you make something interesting with it.
